Welcome to our third annual weekend arts extravaganza! LexArts is proud to present this showcase featuring some of the area’s best arts organizations and artists. And, the best part is that it is all Free! We want you, your family and friends to sample it all to discover ways to cultivate your creativity year round.
There is something for everyone – hands on arts activities for kids, a demonstration ballet class, the Argentine Tango, and a FREE performance by the Lexington Children’s Theatre. We have even arranged for you to tour one of Lexington’s oldest residences – the Pope Villa – conveniently located in the heart of downtown.
Lexington’s arts and cultural scene is rich because of the community support provided annually through our Campaign for the Arts. Each year hundreds of individuals and businesses give generously to support many of the groups featured in this Arts Showcase Weekend. Additional support is provided by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and the Kentucky Arts Council.
This weekend is for you! Discover the many ways that you can experience and enjoy the arts in the Blue Grass.
