2008 CAMPAIGN CHAIR

Julie Young

Julie Young is a business woman who has owned and operated The Paperweight for more than 27 years.  In addition to serving on the Campaign Cabinet, Young just finished her third term as a member of the LexArts Board of Directors.  She also serves on the Boards of Hospice of the Bluegrass and the Lexington Clinic Foundation.

I believe in supporting the arts to the ninth degree.” said Young of her involvement with LexArts.  Young has also been active with the 2007 Chamber Music Festival, the Junior League of Lexington, the Ashland Park Neighborhood Association, Actors Guild of Lexington, Kentucky Women Leadership Network and numerous other charities.

2008 VICE CHAIR

Larry Bell

Larry Bell is a native of Lexington and his career spans more than 25 years in the hotel business.  Most recently, he was named General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Lexington in November 2006.  He and his wife, Beverly, live in Lexington and have two children.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity.” said Bell after being named Vice Chair of the Campaign.  Very active in civic, business and charitable organizations, Bell has served on the boards of LexArts, the United Way of the Bluegrass, the Greater Lexington Hotel Association, the Downtown Lexington Corporation and the Lexington Area Sports Authority.

 

IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIR

Andy Haymaker

Andy Haymaker has been a resident of Lexington for more than 25 years and is currently involved in commercial real estate.  He holds degrees in finance and economics from the University of Kentucky and is a commercial agent with Haymaker/Bean Commercial Real Estate, President of HM Homebuilders, Vice President of Haymaker Development Company and Managing Member for both HM Mundy Properties and Haymaker Land Company.

Outside of his professional life, Haymaker has served two terms on LexArts' Campaign for the Arts Cabinet and is currently Chair of the Auction Committee of the Keenland Concours d'Elegance.  He served on the finance committee for Mayor-Elect Jim Newberry.  He lives in Lexington with his wife Brooke.
