Lexington's Youth Arts Council

Welcome to Lexington Youth Arts Council!

Lexington Youth Arts Council creates initiatives that allow local youth to become active participants and creative shapers of the arts in Lexington and central Kentucky. It provides youth with tools and opportunities allowing them to develop the skills to contribute to the process of providing art through the community. It encourages members to demonstrate leadership among their peers and strengthen a sense of community through collaborative work. Through the efforts of the Youth Arts Council, the community will gain a deeper understanding of the youth experience in the arts while also encouraging the cultivation of future participants and patrons of the arts.

The formation of Lexington Youth Arts Council was made possible through the generous support of JPMorgan Chase who provided the funding to develop a sustainable program that responds to the needs and aspirations of Lexington's young people.
