The Kroger murals project began with the creation of three murals for the new Euclid Ave Kroger store. Kroger in partnership with LexArts commissioned local artists to design and create one exterior and two interior murals for the store. From the more than 50 submissions, a selection committee of local arts and community leaders and representatives from the neighborhood selected the winning artists. The project branched off from a similar partnership with Kroger in the Cinncinatti area. The project has been such a success that it has spread throughout the Bluegrass.
