Community Arts Grants are given in two categories: 1) PROJECT SUPPORT
The Project Support category is for any organization not eligible for Allocation support. Funding aims to benefit smaller groups including volunteer-managed arts groups or non-profit civic organizations seeking to integrate the arts into their community programs. Individual artists are also eligible for this grant level but must partner with a fiscal agent. Funding in this category is for a specific activity that is not normally a part of the organizations on-going programming. The applying organization must be based in Fayette County, complete the majority of their work in Fayette and contiguous counties and have a demonstrated history of providing community focused programs. Organizations must also be a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. Project Support awards will range from $500 to $2,500. 2) PROGRAM SUPPORT The Program Support category is for arts and cultural organizations not eligible for Allocation support. Eligible organizations will have year-round arts-focused programming and be professionally managed by a full or part-time staff. Funding in this category is for on-going regular activities that focus on the arts. The expense budget for qualifying organizations will exceed $25,000 for three consecutive years. Qualifying organizations must have a demonstrated history of providing community focused programs and will be based in Fayette County and complete the majority of their work in Fayette and contiguous counties. They will also have a history of project support with LexArts and will have nonprofit, 501(c)3 status. Program Support awards will range from $2,500 to $10,000.
