CKYO 78th Season Opening Concert

Join us as the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras kicks off its 78th Season with a powerful celebration of youth, music, and community! This concert features performances from every classical CKYO ensemble — including our Symphony, Concert, Repertory, Percussion, and Bravo String orchestras — showcasing the incredible talent of over 300 young musicians from across the Bluegrass. The evening will culminate in the world premiere of An Anthem for Lexington, a new work for youth orchestra and youth choir commissioned for the City of Lexington’s 250th anniversary. This special 250Lex Project piece, written especially for CKYO, honors the city’s past and imagines its future — a musical tribute to the heart of our community with original poetry by Deidra White and music composed by William White.
