VOICES AMPLIFIED PRESENTS THE “I AM WHAT I AM ” A CELEBRATORY EVENT TO KICK OFF PRIDE MONTH, CABARET MAY 29-JUNE 1, 2025.

Voices Amplified, a collective dedicated to empowering artists and creating equitable spaces in arts education and theater performance, proudly presents the I Am What I Am Cabaret from May 29 to June 1. Directed by Brittany Benningfield and Uma Jewels, this uplifting event features local talent from the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. As we kick off Pride Month, the cabaret promises to empower and amplify the voices of the LGBTQ+ community, celebrating acceptance, love, and equality through vibrant expressions of song, dance, and storytelling.
The I Am What I Am Cabaret, sponsored by LexArts and Anne Pittman will be held at the new Encore space at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center! This intimate cabaret will include a bar, snacks, and opportunities to bid on our I Am What I Am photos and to purchase a limited edition I Am What I Am t-shirt from our I Am What I Am support campaign sponsored by Frontrunners Lexington. There will be two shows on Saturday night, including a night owl show at 9:30 pm and a Saturday opening act where Columbus singer-songwriter Drew Eberly kicks off his Pride Tour.
