LexArts Connect Opportunities

LexArts does its part to keep art everywhere by supporting over 50 artists and arts organizations large and small across the region through grants and rental space that make it less challenging for artists to create.

Going a step further, we connect work and its makers with audiences and opportunities. To pull this off in challenging times, fundraising is our default mode, reinforced by advocacy and education aimed at fostering awareness of the arts as an engine for both personal and economic growth.

GRANTS
For artists and arts organizations large and small, LexArts offers Community Arts Development grants on a program or project basis and General Operating Support grants to help underwrite and sustain essential infrastructure like workspace, equipment, materials, salaries and marketing. LEXARTS ARTIST REGISTRY

LexArts offers an Artist Registry that tracks and connects artists with various opportunities, including requests for proposals (RFPs), artist calls, and more. It’s a great platform for both local and national opportunities.

The LexArts Artist Registry is a directory of artists residing throughout Kentucky. It specifically focuses on artists in visual and performing arts. The registry includes a diverse range of artists, from emerging self-taught creators to professional career artists.

KIDS AND FAMILIES
“Creativity is intelligence having fun,” said Albert Einstein and LexArts heartily agrees. Stimulating kid-oriented arts opportunities, practitioners and events are everywhere. Here’s how we help teachers and parents connect the dots.

LEXARTS NETWORK
LexArts Network is made up of over 50 Member Groups — arts, cultural, educational and civic organizations dedicated to producing and presenting the arts in Lexington and central Kentucky. They meet once a month to connect, share ideas, issues and concerns, and benefit from collaboration and reduced rental rates for creative space. Click here to apply for membership.
