Opening Night: New World

Calling everyone to the concert hall—it’s time for a LexPhil homecoming! 🎻

Opening Night: New World on Friday, September 18, ushers in the 2026–2027 season beginning with Clarice Assad’s Baião ‘n Blues. Then, Lexington-native Ania Lewis returns to the Bluegrass for Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto. Finally, the evening closes with Antonín Dvořák’s inspiring Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”.
