Maker’s Mark Whisky Wall of Wonder 2.0 – Artists
Due to the overwhelming success of the inaugural Whisky Wall of Wonder in 2022, LexArts has once again been selected to participate in the Maker’s Mark Private Select program. Our meticulously crafted barrel of LexArts Artisan Blend ‘Private Select’ Maker’s Mark bourbon has now matured and been bottled.
LexArts will be curating a select group of 100 Kentucky artists to paint or adorn two bottles each. Artists will be compensated $100 per bottle upon return of the decorated bottles.
This year’s bottles will be unveiled at ArtsPlace on April 11 and will remain on display on April 12 in celebration of the 27th running of the (G1) Makers Mark Mile at Keeneland. One bottle from each artist will be sold at a private ticketed fundraising event on April 11 and the remaining bottles will be available via an online auction. Your creativity will help LexArts raise critical funds that are granted annually to Lexington’s arts community.
If you choose to participate, please complete the form below and submit up to 3 designs. The deadline for application is 11:59 pm on Tuesday, February 27. Selected artists will be notified by Monday, March 4.
The ‘blank canvas’ bottles will be available for artists to pick up Tuesday, March 5 through Saturday, March 10 at ArtsPlace. The decorated bottles must be returned to ArtsPlace by 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 28.

- Artists must be Kentucky residents 21 years of age or older.
- Designs MUST be submitted on supplied downloadable template. Printed templates are also available at LexArts.
- Bottles MUST remain unopened.
- Red wax seal MUST remain intact and unpainted (round red wax S IV stamp may be painted).
- The LexArts Whisky Wall of Wonder paper label MUST remain visible as shown in the picture below.
