The Nutcracker‚ is an annual tradition for many families in the Bluegrass each holiday season, said KBT Artistic Director, Norbe Risco. The Nutcracker‚ includes the full Kentucky Ballet Theatre Professional Company, along with over 50 Kentucky Ballet Theatre Academy students.
The production includes popular characters from the Snow Queen, Rat King, soldiers, mischievous mice and fairies, snowflakes, candy canes, the graceful Sugar Plum Fairy, and of course Clara and Drosselmeyer. The performance is set to the renowned music of Tchaikovsky
