CKYO 76th Season Finale Concert
You won’t want to miss our 76th Season Finale Concert, Sunday, May 19th at 5pm at Singletary Center for the Arts. Led by CKYO Music Director, Marcello Cormio, CKYO’s Symphony Orchestra performs Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade.” You’ll also hear CKYO Friends in Music perform alongside their mentors and with the Symphony Orchestra winds, brass, and percussion. Also featured on this concert is the CKYO Percussion Ensemble and the CKYO String Quintet who recently won the high school division of the Macauley Chamber Music Competition at the University of Louisville. The final piece of the evening will be recognizing our graduating seniors and then seeing them off with a performance of the final movement Haydn’s “Farewell Symphony.” A poignant, annual tradition dating back over 60 years.
