Images of Dignity by Joseph Pearson

The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is proud to display “Images of Dignity,” an exhibit by Asheville-based artist Joseph Pearson. This exhibit was inspired by the need to present a counter argument to the seemingly negative perceptions of black men in the United States. Featuring portraits of famous figures alongside snapshots of everyday life, this body of work places emphasis on positive representations that address the various perceptions of black men.
