Myths, Legends and Lore by Honora Jacob

Myths, Legends and Lore features portraits of women and explores Jacob’s love of narratives and expressions of individual identity. These artworks take inspiration from archetypes in history, myths, legends and lore to portray the female as more than an archetype, but rather as a blended history of feminine identity.

Jacob started her career as an advertising art director but moved to Kentucky 22 years later and followed her passion of painting. She received her  B.F.A. in Studio Arts at Eastern Kentucky University and attended the M.F.A. program in Painting at the University of Kentucky. Now, Jacob lives and maintains a full-time studio in Lexington KY.
