CKYO Teen Arts Concert Festival

Join CKYO for a day of music by ALL of our ensembles and programs! Three concerts will take place throughout the day featuring  over 350 youth musicians on the stages of the Singletary Center for the Arts.

The 3pm concert has performances by our Concert and Symphony Orchestras conducted by CKYO Music Director, Marcello Cormio. This concert also features the three 2022-2023 CKYO Concerto Competition Winners in solo performances of their concerto with the Symphony Orchestra. Cellists Andrew Peng (Bryan Station HS) and Anna Wilson (GRC HS) and Marimba player Donovan Johnson (Lafayette HS) are the 2022-2023 CKYO Borchardt Concerto Competition Winners who will perform.

The 5pm concert features the CKYO Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Raleigh Dailey in performances of Big Band Style Jazz. The 6:30pm concert features CKYO’s Bravo String Orchestra under the direction of Mary Elizabeth Henton, the Repertory Orchestra under the direction of Lois Wiggins, and the Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Austin Shoupe.

A single ticket will get you into all three performances.
